Better day for Fazeley congestion work
Following my recent frustration, today has been better when it comes to efforts to try and stop the Fazeley area grinding to a halt this Easter with thousands descending on Drayton Manor Park.
I wrote before that the Park itself has now got 1500 more hard standing car park spaces and now Staffordshire Highways are doing precisely what is needed sign wise on the routes to the theme park as are Birmingham City Council and also Warwickshire.
So just the Highways Agency for a full house and hopefully clearer roads this Easter and in the future. The HA is the central Government body which looks after motorways and the nation’s strategic trunk roads. As you might expect they are a little trickier because they appear to want to keep traffic off their routes and on local roads.
That said, they are making progress albeit slowly and I’m due to ‘encourage’ them some more this week. All in all though we’re getting there as we head towards the first big test in a few weeks time.
