Beautiful Hints
Previous years, at this time, we’d be off camping in the New Forest. But, with County election pending, this year it’s leaflet delivering, postering and generally getting ready for the 4th June.
All very necessary but the lack of camping brought with it a very pleasant benefit too. And that was visiting the annual Open Gardens at Hints Village in between Lichfield and Tamworth. And by far the hottest day of the year brought with it the village gardens on display at their very best and, according to organisers, the biggest turnout
of visitors ever.
It was absolutely marvellous and a wonderful atmosphere. Several gardens were breathtaking and all were resplendent in the glorious sunshine but what really struck Cath and I were the stunning views of the countryside surrounding Hints from almost every garden on display.
It really is a beautiful village.

Matthew. You will, I’m sure remember me. I am Michael’s wife and we were presiding at the election at the Longwood Pub in Fazeley.
Many, many congratulations on your FANTASTIC win. I am so happy for you and would like to pledge my help to you nearer the General Election. I live in Tamworth but my son lives in Shenston so I know it well.
I am delighted with your success. All the best for the future- Moira.
