Reassurance from Cameron
I’ve been incredibly angry over the issues of some MPs and their outrageous expense claims.
I’ve ranted about it several times on my website and last week, for the first time ever, I decided to make my feelings
known to David Cameron via email. Although I’ve met him a few times now I’ve never written to him before on anything and wasn’t certain how my strong words would be taken and, even, if I’d receive a response to such vocal criticism of MPs across Party.
But I have. And a very comprehensive one too. The thought of the ‘all politicians are the same’ tag being applied to me has upset me greatly and so I was looking for some reassurance of strong actions from the Conservative Party’s national leader.
Broadly speaking I thought it just about did what I hoped. The last few days have seen some of what he said come to fruition and a big test will be whether that continues still further. If the promises are kept we will see further MPs deciding to step down and as each one does I will feel that he, and the Conservative Party, is serious about getting rid of those who have lost their right to represent people.
A long way to go in clearing out those from all parties who are obviously and utterly out of touch but, once done, I think the past few weeks will be good for this country and politics and good riddence to those who’ve been looking after number one at the expense, literally, of us all.
