Webcast debate on Staffordshire’s care future

The first County Chamber Debate on the Future of Care in Staffordshire is on October 26th…

And it will be webcast to make sure more people who want to can see this critical issue debated by Members in the County Chamber

October 26th - Debating Future of Care

October 26th - Debating the Future of Care

Few are going to watch on-line meetings at County for fun or entertainment but the growing numbers who have watched meetings since the webcasting started in April show that big issues and, more importantly, how decisions to spend billions of pounds are arrived at should indeed be seen and available to watch after the event.

As far as the October 26th debate is concerned Staffordshire, just the same as the rest of the UK, faces big challenges financially which we must address whilst ensuring that care and health services for vulnerable and elderly people are the best they can be.

During the debate I’ll be setting out, as the Cabinet Member responsible for Adults and Wellbeing, how I believe we need to approach the future of adult care in Staffordshire.

Cabinet meetings, full County Council and some other debates can be seen live or via archived media here. The County Chamber also has public viewing areas which can be accessed without prior notice on the day of debates.
