Helping Fazeley Swifts with funding

Youngsters’ football is becoming more and more valuable for the kids and the communities they live in…

People moan that kids ‘nowadays’ either sit in front of computer screens or play virtual reality games during every spare moment they have.

Well, true or not, I’m always delighted to help out anything which gets young people playing sport and socialising with others. So when I got a call from the Fazeley Swifts youth football team with some thoughts on how they wanted to expand what they’re currently doing it was something I was keen to support.

And what an enthusiastic lot they were despite the freezing cold evening at their training ground at QEMS when I went to present their cheque to buy new equipment from my Local Community Fund.

The Swifts ‘Blue Squad’ were a really good bunch of kids and genuinely appreciative.
