Whittington Christmas lunch big success
A vibrant bunch of ‘older’ people celebrating Christmas and the amazing success of the Wednesday Club…
A new record this year for the number of Christmas lunches I’ve eaten in the run up to the big day… thirteen including our family one on 25th.
But it’s a part of my work I really do enjoy and this year is no different. The Whittington Wednesday Club seen here is a tremendous social
group group mainly for older members of the wider Whittington community but with ‘relaxed’ rules both geographically and age wise, makes for an interesting and diverse group of people.
I was delighted to help them out with a little extra funding from my County Funding Scheme which not only went towards a Christmas event but will also help to provide some of the many trips out the group enjoy.
A really important and successful community resource which also plays a crucial role in keeping older people active and well.
