Nursery on Track for Extended Care
Little Oaks Nursey
Oaks Nursery at Longwood Primary School, Mile Oak is celebrating continued success by providing additional care places for youngsters of 3 and 4 years of age.
In a further boost for the nursery, the managing committee, which is made up of the school’s Governors, staff and local people, endorsed the nursery’s work over the past year and agreed to recommend to the next Governors’ meeting full endorsement for the extended childcare plans.
Matthew Ellis, Lichfield Rural East’s County Councillor, this week visited the nursery to see the children learning about how to grow plants.
He is delighted with the progress and said,
“If all goes well, wrap around childcare from 7.30 in the morning until 5.30 in the evening will be available in the Mile Oak area in the future. It would complement the wonderful work being done at Longwood Primary School and, as places for extended care will be limited, I would encourage anyone interested to register their interest as soon as possible. I’d also remind people that there may be financial help available depending upon personal circumstances”.
Anybody wishing to find out more about Little Oaks Nursery’s current availability or register an interest for future childcare should contact the school.
